Adesh University, Bathinda, was established under the flagship academic of Adesh Foundation, a pioneer in health care, medical and technical education. Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Bhatinda (a constituent of Adesh University), came into existence in 2006.

- Admission criteria: Admission to the UnderGraduate Courses (MBBS) at the Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences shall be open to candidates who have obtained a minimum of marks at the 50th percentile (40th for the reserved categories) in National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for the said academic year.
Eligibility Criteria
- a) Age: The candidate should have completed 17th years of age on 31st December; for the year in which admission is sought.
- b) Qualifying exam: The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent in English (core level), Physics, Chemistry & Biology with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology subjects.
- c) Entrance Test: Candidates must have passed National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET)-U.G.

Admission procedure
Step 1: Candidates who have obtained a minimum of marks at the 50th percentile in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test are eligible to register online with Adesh University.
Step 2: Registered students shall appear in the combined counselling organised by the university. During the counselling, candidates need to opt for Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences for admission.
Step 3: Shortlisted candidates shall report to the institute along with all original documents and certificates, as required at the time of counselling.
Step 4: After the allotment of the seats, the candidate needs to personally visit the university to pay the tuition fees and other charges.
