About College

Bundelkhand Medical College (BMC) was established in 2009 in Madhya Pradesh, Sagar, with its first batch of MBBS. Since its inception, the college has been developed as one of the best government colleges in Madhya Pradesh for improving the medical teaching activity and providing higher quality health facilities to the people.

From 2014 onwards, the college is affiliated with Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University (MPMSU) Jabalpur (Earlier, it was affiliated with Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar).

As per the recent NMC data, the BMC has permission to grant admission to 125 MBBS students in the academic year (2021-22). Presently, the college offers undergraduate courses, i.e., MBBS, B.Sc Nursing, and post graduation courses, i.e., MD, MS, in various subjects. BMC is also planning to start Dental and Paramedical courses in the future.

Bundelkhand Medical College building is beautifully designed, consisting of three floors with modern amenities and 5 hostels for student accommodation. Each is for girls, boys, and nursing students, separate female & male hostel residents.

    • Minimum qualification:
      Those who are willing to be admitted to BMC Jabalpur need to pass out 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually with a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks in case of SC/ST & 45% marks OBC Category) taken together in Physics, Chemistry & Biology.
  • Age Criteria:
    The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 or above as of 31st December of the year of admission.
  • Entrance exam:
    The student must have qualified for the NEET exam with the required percentile.

Admission procedure

Step 1: The admission process is simple, i.e., you first need to appear and qualify for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET).

Step 2: The candidates must register online at Medical department education (dme.mponline.gov.in) for the counselling process and choose the colleges they want to join.

Step 3: During counselling, the seats are allotted to the students. Once you get the allotment, you can apply at the college website by filling out the admission application form and submitting the fees. The college will perform document verification. Eligible and selected candidates are required to pay fees to start their MBBS career at Bundelkhand medical college.

Scholarship Program

The college doesn’t provide any direct scholarships for the UG courses. However, there is a post matric scholarship for reserved category students (ST/SC). Other students can apply for the MP government scholarship programs, depending on their eligibility (Medhavi Chatra Yojna).
