Dr D Y Patil Medical College, Kolhapur, was established in 2005 and is affiliated with D.Y. Patil Education Society (Deemed to be University), Kolhapur. The society was established in 1987 with the mission to provide the best quality education in the health sciences comparable with the best institutions in the world.
Presently the society is running the following institutions:

Admission procedure
Step 1: Candidates are required to register for the NEET UG exam at https://cetcell.net/UG_NEET_2021/ and qualify for the exam.
Step 2: Qualified candidates need to participate in common counselling for admission to MBBS Courses in all Medical Education Institutions, and they will be allotted seats.
Step 3: Candidates allotted seats through counselling need to visit the college with their allotment letter and get their admission confirmation letter.
Note:
- The State shall conduct the counselling for all admission to MBBS Course, and such Common Counselling shall be under the over all superintendence, direction, and control of the State.
- There will be no U.G. admission being done at the college level. All admission will be made by the Commissionerate Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai.
