Gouri Devi Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital (GIMSH) was established in 2016 under the guidance of Mr R N Majumder. The medical college is affiliated with West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata, with an intake of 150 seats for the academic year 2022-23.
Gouri Devi Institute of Medical Sciences & Hospital, Durgapur, has two ultra-modern Multi Speciality inbuilt hospitals. The hospital has cutting-edge technology promoted by Mr R. N. Majumdar. The Medical College has well-equipped departments with experienced faculty members.

Eligibility Criteria

They must have passed the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually with a minimum of 50% (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC) marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology taken together.
Age: The candidate shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st Dec. of the year of admission.
Entrance exam: Candidates must have qualified NEET examination with a score equivalent to at least 50 percentile (for UR category) and 40th percentile (for or SC/ ST/ OBC category) for AIQ and state counselling.

Admission procedure
Step 1: NEET qualification – The candidates must qualify for NEET and participate in WB State/Management/NRI Quota counselling, as the case may be for UG seats.
Step 2: Registration – Visit the WBMCC website https://wbmcc.nic.in and complete the registration process and pay the non-refundable counselling fee.
Step 3: Choice filling and choice locking – Candidates need to submit the Quota certificate at the time of registration, and only after successful verification of such certificate, the candidate will be eligible for Online Choice filling and Allotment for the seat.
Step 4: Physical document verification – Selected candidates need to report and produce the physical documents for verification at the allotted medical college.
Step 5: Admission – Seat allotment shall be as per software on the basis of merit and admission status at the allotted college will be provided on the website https://wbmcc.nic.in.
