Admission criteria: Admission to the Undergraduate Courses (MBBS) at the Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences shall be open to candidates who have qualified NEET exam.

Step 1: Candidates’ names appearing in the NEET UG merit list issued by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), GOI, are only eligible for admission at Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Jamia Hamdard.
Step 2: The Selected candidates have to undergo a medical examination. The medical examination shall be set up by a HIMSR Medical Board. If a candidate is found medically unfit in the assessment of the Medical Board, the information will be shared with the Medical Counselling Committee/ DGHS, and they will take the final decision.
Step 3: The candidates need to participate in the MCC UG-MBBS Counselling. Selected candidates will visit the college to complete the Physical Reporting formalities at Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Jamia Hamdard.

No, HIMSR doesn’t take any direct admission. All admissions are through the All India NEET Medical Counseling Committee of DGHS, GoI, through NEET-UG counselling only.

Yes, separate hostels for both Boys and Girls are available within the campus.
There is no pre-booking of seats. Seats are allotted if they remain vacant per the guidelines issued by the MCC of DGHS under MoHFW, GoI and based on merit and physical presence of the candidate.
A candidate has to deposit a total Fee of Rs. 17,70,000 at the time of admission for the MBBS course.
