About College
ICARE Institute of Medical Sciences and Research & Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy Hospital, Haldia, is the first self-financed Medical College in West Bengal. The institute was established by the Indian Centre for Advancement of Research and Education.
The medical college is affiliated with West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata, with an intake of 100 students in an academic year.
The institute was founded to create a modern education centre and provide health care facilities of International standard. To fulfil this objective, the institute gets support from the local Municipal Authorities, Haldia Development Authority, and the industrial and business houses in and around Haldia.
The college campus is situated in a sprawling integrated campus of 34 acres. The institute helps the students by providing them a base for holistic development with excellent infrastructural facilities, such as:

Education Qualification:
Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board, Council, or University. They must have passed the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually and a minimum of 50% (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC) marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology taken together.Age:

Candidates must have qualified NEET examination. Candidates in the UR category are required to score equivalent to at least 50 percentile, and for SC/ ST/ OBC, at least the 40th percentile for AIQ and state counselling.

Admission procedure
Step 1: NEET qualification – The candidates are required to qualify for NEET and participate in WB State/Management/NRI Quota counselling, as the case may be for UG seats.
Step 2: Registration – Visit the WBMCC website https://wbmcc.nic.in and complete the registration process. Also make payment of the non-refundable counselling fee at the time of registration.
Step 3: Choice filling and choice locking – Candidates need to submit the Quota certificate at the time of registration, and only after successful verification of such certification, the candidate shall be eligible for Online Choice filling and Allotment for the seat.
Step 4: Physical document verification – Selected candidates need to report and produce the physical documents for verification at the allotted medical college.
Step 5: Admission – Seat allotment by the Software as per Inter se merit and admission at the allotted college will be provided on the website https://wbmcc.nic.in.
