Overview

Coming on MBBS in Jammu and Kashmir 2023, there are total 10 medical colleges in Jammu and Kashmir, out of which; 9 are Government medical colleges and 1 is private medical colleges. There are total 1147 Jammu and Kashmir MBBS seats from which the medical aspirants can apply to 1047 medical seats belonging to government medical colleges, whereas 100 seats belonging to the only private medical college.

The scope of further studies is such that 4 medical colleges of Jammu and Kashmir offer 533 seats in MD/MS/Diploma programs and only 1 medical college that offer 35 seats in DM/MCH programs (Super specialty).

NEET-UG Exam dates 2023

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET (UG) 2022 examination on Sunday, 17 July 2022 in pen & paper mode. The examination will serve as a uniform entrance examination for MBBS admission and other stream like BDS/ BAMS/ BSMS/ BUMS/ BHMS and other undergraduate medical courses.

NEET-UG 2023 Cut Off

The Board of Professional Entrance Examination, Srinagar, J&K is responsible for conducting State counseling for allocation of 85% of MBBS Seats in Govt and Private Medical College under State Quota. However, MCC is the governing body for filling rest 15 % seats through All India Quota seats in Govt Medical College and 100% Seats in Deemed University. Those who qualified NEET are eligible to apply in both the counseling processes.
