KMCT Medical College was established in 2008 with an intake of 100 MBBS seats approved by the Medical Council of India. Today, the college has permission to grant admission to 150 students. Later in the academic year 2015-16, the college started offering postgraduate courses.
The college is affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences and is attached to KMCT Medical College Hospital. It is a tertiary-level multispecialty hospital with more than 720 beds. The hospital has well-equipped laboratories and supportive specialties.

Educational Qualification: Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or any other examinations recognized equivalent to it, with a pass in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-Technology, and English individually, and obtained minimum 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology, and minimum 50% separately for Biology/Bio-Technology, are eligible to apply for admission.
Age: Applicants should have completed 17 years of age as of the 31st December and there is no upper age limit.
Entrance exam: The candidates must have qualified in the NEET-UG for admission to the MBBS course with a minimum of 50 percentile in the entrance examination.
For NRI Candidates:
Candidates selected for NRI quota seats should submit the following certificates also at the time of admission.
Step 1: Candidates can visit the official portal of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, https://cee-kerala.org/, and register themselves for NEET Kerala State Counselling.
Step 2: At the time of counselling, the students have to choose the courses and colleges of their preference and lock in the preferences at the online portal.
Sep 3: The seat allotment status will be published online based on the availability of vacancies and the candidate’s choices.
Step 4: If you get the seat in the first round, you will be required to either reject the allotted seat or report to the allotted college and complete the admission formalities.
Step 5: Those who didn’t get the seat allotment have to complete the registration process and perform Fresh Choice Filling and Locking for the second round.
