About College

The Maharashtra Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (MIMSR) Medical College was started in 1990 with a small portion of Rajarshi Shahu College. In 1992, the college shifted to its own premises.

The medical institute is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, and attached to the Yeshwantrao Chavan rural hospital, which also started functioning simultaneously in 1992. It is a 610-bed attached teaching hospital.

The present college premises comprise the college building, the Yeshwantrao Chavan Rural Hospital building, girl’s and boy’s hostels, staff quarters, a well-equipped central library, and other facilities such as:

Admission procedure

  • Step 1: Candidates are required to register for the NEET UG exam at https://cetcell.net/UG_NEET_2021/ and qualify for the exam.

    Step 2: Qualified candidates need to participate in common counselling for admission to MBBS Courses in all Medical Education Institutions, and they will be allotted seats.

    Step 3: Candidates allotted seats through counselling need to visit the college with their allotment letter and get their admission confirmation letter.

    Note:
    • The State shall conduct the counselling for all admission to MBBS Course, and such Common Counselling shall be under the over all superintendence, direction, and control of the State.
    • There will be no UG admission being done at the college level. All admission will be made by the Commissionerate Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai.

Meritorious students can get National Merit and other Government scholarships. The college provides full concession in tuition fees to the backward class students belonging to SC, ST, and VJNT castes and 50 % for OBC by the government.
