Narayan Medical College & Hospital (NMCH), Jamuhar, Sasaram, was established by Deo Mangal Memorial Trust to cater to the healthcare needs of the poorest section of society by qualified doctors of different specialities.
NMCH is affiliated with Gopal Narayan Singh University and received permission for the renewal of 100-150 seats for the academic year 2022-23. The medical college provides the opportunity for higher education to give better services and do research work that needs improvement in Bihar. The inbuilt hospital has more than 1200 beds.

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
Course duration: The MBBS course duration from Narayan Medical College is five and a half academic years (including one year of compulsory rotatory internship). After passing the Final MBBS examination, all the candidates will be required to undergo a compulsory rotatory internship for 12 months in the hospital and rural health centres recognized by the institute.
Seat intake: The Institute is recognized for 100 seats and permitted for 50 (Total150 seats) for the MBBS degree by the Medical Council of India.
Admission criteria: Admission to the Undergraduate Courses (MBBS) at the Narayan Medical College shall be open to candidates who have qualified NEET exam.
Education Qualification: Candidates must have cleared the 12th or equivalent exam with PCB and English subjects from any recognized board.
Age: Candidate shall complete the age of 17 (maximum age limit is 25) years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the MBBS.
Entrance Exam: Candidates have obtained a minimum of marks in National Eligibility-Cum- Entrance Test as prescribed.
Step 1: Candidates need to pass NEET and submit an application online on the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) portal www.bceceboard.bihar.gov.in
Step 2: After online registration, candidates have to appear in counselling conducted by the Bihar government. During counselling, candidates will be selected for the allotment of seats.
Note: College will be allotted to the students as per their merit cum choice basis.
Step 3: Shortlisted and selected candidates shall report to the institute along with all original documents and certificates as required.
