  • Course duration:
    The MBBS course is a four and half year period followed by one year compulsory rotating medical internship. The 12-month internship includes rotations in Community Health, Medicine, Surgery, Child Health, Orthopedics, Emergency medicine, and various other specialties.

    The college has intake capacity of 150 MBBS students and the admission quota of PKDIMS is as follows:
    • Merit Seats: 85% and
    • NRI Seats: 15%.
    Admission criteria:
    Admission to the MBBS Programme is based on the candidate marks obtained in the NEET-UG rank.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification:
    All Higher Secondary School students with 10+2 in science stream, including biology or biotechnology, along with Physics and Chemistry, with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible. (In the case of SC/ST, it is 40% and 45% for OBC Category).
    Age requirements:
    17 years of age or above as on 31st December of the admission year. The maximum age limit to Study MBBS Course is 25 years.
    Entrance Exam:
    The candidate must have qualified NEET – UG.

Admission procedure

  • Step 1: Candidates can visit the official portal of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, https://cee-kerala.org/, and register themselves for NEET Kerala State Counselling.

    Step 2: At the time of counselling, the students must choose the courses and colleges of their preference and lock in the preferences at the online portal.

    Sep 3: The seat allotment status will be published online based on the availability of vacancies and the candidate’s choices.

    Step 4: If you get the seat in the first round, you will be required to either reject the allotted seat or report to the allotted college and complete the admission formalities.

    Step 5: Those who didn’t get the seat allotment have to complete the registration process and perform Fresh Choice Filling and Locking for the second round.
