Santiniketan Medical College was established in 2022 in Bolpur to help students become successful professionals and make an impact on the world.
Santiniketan Medical College is affiliated with The West Bengal University of Health Sciences, with an intake of 150 seats for the academic year 2022-23. Further, the college is attached to a teaching hospital – Bolpur Sub Divisional Hospital (An initiative under the PPP model with the Government of West Bengal).

Education Qualification:
The minimum requirements for the MBBS course are 50% marks in physics, chemistry, biology, and English in the ’10+2′ examinations.Age:
The minimum age for the MBBS admission is 17 years. The candidate should be of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.Entrance exam:
Candidates must have qualified NEET examination. Candidates in the UR category are required to score equivalent to at least 50 percentile, and for SC/ ST/ OBC, at least the 40th percentile for AIQ and state counselling.

Admission procedure
Step 1: NEET qualification – The candidates are required to qualify for NEET and participate in WB State/Management/NRI Quota counselling, as the case may be for UG seats.
Step 2: Registration – Visit the WBMCC website https://wbmcc.nic.in and complete the registration process. Also, make payment of the non-refundable counselling fee at the time of registration.
Step 3: Choice filling and choice locking – Candidates need to submit the Quota certificate at the time of registration, and only after successful verification of such certification the candidate shall be eligible for Online Choice filling and Allotment for the seat.
Step 4: Physical document verification – Selected candidates need to report and produce the physical documents for verification at the allotted medical college.
Step 5: Admission – Seat shall be allocated by the Software as per Inter se merit. After that, candidates can check the admission status on the website https://wbmcc.nic.in.
