Established in 2016, Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical Sciences (SSIMS) is the First Medical Institution in India to be named after Adi- Shri Shankaracharya.

SSIMS has been recognized for its teaching-learning achievements and received the “Twin City Education Excellence Award for Leading Private Medical Institute in C.G.” by the Governor in 2022. The college’s mission is to deliver health care that is accessible and affordable for each and every person in the community.

Eligibility Criteria

Admission procedure

  1. A candidate must qualify for the Medical Entrance Examination Conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) – National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test – NEET (UG).
  2. After qualifying for the exam, candidates are called for Online Counselling by the Director of Medical Education (DME) Chhattisgarh ( During the counseling, the seats are allotted to the students.
