About College

Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences (SNIMS) is the first Medical College of Gurudeva Charitable Trust (GCT) founded by a group of Philanthropic followers of Sree Narayana Guru. The medical institute was started to provide top-class medical education and quality health care at affordable cost.

SNIMS is affiliated with Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur, Kerala, with an annual intake of 100-150 seats for the academic year 2022-23. Further, the college has an inbuilt hospital that provides comprehensive medical services. The hospital is well-equipped with competent doctors in various departments and provides high-quality medical care.

The college campus is situated on 46 acres of land in a rural area. It comprises separate hostels for boys and girls and in-house accommodations for faculty members. Additionally, the other facilities include:

  • Course duration: MBBS at Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences is a five-year course including one year of mandatory internship.

    Seat intake: The annual intake of MBBS students at Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences is 150 (All India Quota-15%, Open Merit-70%, NRI-15%).

    Admission criteria: The allotment and admission process is based on rank obtained in NEET under the control of the Office of Entrance Commissioner.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Education Qualification: Candidates who have passed the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually at the Higher Secondary examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or examinations recognized equivalent to it and obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology are eligible.

    Age: Students should have completed the minimum age of 17 years on or before the 31st day of December of the year of admission.

    Entrance Exam: The candidate must have qualified for the NEET entrance exam.

    • Relationship certificate of the sponsor with a candidate from Government legal authorities.

Admission procedure

  • Step 1: Candidates can visit the official portal of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, https://cee-kerala.org/, and register themselves for NEET Kerala State Counselling.

    Step 2: At the time of counselling, the students have to choose the courses and colleges of their preference and lock in the preferences at the online portal.

    Sep 3: The seat allotment status will be published online based on the availability of vacancies and the candidate’s choices.

    Step 4: If you get the seat in the first round, you will be required to either reject the allotted seat or report to the allotted college and complete the admission formalities.

    Step 5: Those who didn’t get the seat allotment have to complete the registration process and perform Fresh Choice Filling and Locking for the second round.
