PG IN AYURVEDA

The student who has completed their undergraduate degree in Ayurveda may participate in PG Ayurveda admission. In PG there are approx. 15 specialized branches of Ayurveda such as Panchakarma, Shalya Tantra etc. In PG Ayurveda courses to get enrolled aspirants to need to qualify Ayurveda PG entrance exam called AIAPGET. AIA PGET ENTRANCE EXAM

AIAPGET stands for All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test which is a single entrance examination for admission to Postgraduate AYUSH Courses. For admission to MD / MS / PG DIPLOMA Courses all India and State quota seats are in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha & Homeopathy system of medicine for all AYUSH Colleges, Institutions & Universities/ Deemed Universities across the country.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR PG ADMISSION IN AYURVEDA

The most important eligibility criteria for the PG in Ayurveda is students in possession of BAMS/ BUMS/ BSMS/ BHMS/Graded BHMS degree is required or Provisional BAMS/ BUMS/ BSMS/ BHMS Pass Certificate recognized as per the provisions of the IMCC is required and possess permanent or provisional registration certificate of BAMS/ BUMS/ BSMS/ BHMS/Graded BHMS degree qualification issued by the CCIM/CCH/state board/ universities/ deemed universities and have completed one year of internship or/are likely to complete the internship before date as specified by Ministry of AYUSH is required, Government of India may apply for AIAP GET through Online Application Registration system.

For the PG course in Ayurveda, the eligibility criteria have been defined by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM). The basic qualification for PG in Ayurveda is required for a valid BAMS degree.

In addition, the student must also possess a provisional/permanent registration certificate issued by CCIM.

After that student needs to request for appearing in AIPGET and completing the internship after the notified date or having qualifications that are not recognized by the competent authority shall be summarily rejected.

In regard to the 12-month Compulsory Rotating Internship the dates indicated by candidates i.e. starting date, completion date, shall be treated as final and candidates will be required to submit the original Compulsory Internship completion certificate which is required for the taking admission in PG Ayurveda at the time of counseling.

A candidate who is already pursuing any PG Course is not eligible for admission till they complete the course.

RESERVATION

PG in Ayurveda for All India States/Union Territories Quota Seats and Private AYUSH Colleges/ Institutes/ Universities/Deemed Universities. All India reservation policy and guidelines applicable in different States / Union Territories of India will be followed for their respective All India / State /Union territory quota seats. Each seat owner whether All India or State Quota or Private Universities or Institutions they continue to prepare their merit list based on applicable Regulation and/or their eligibility criteria. The role of AIIA/MOA is to provide the data of candidates and their results without applying the reservation prevalent in the All India States/Union territories of India/ Private AYUSH Colleges/Institutes/Universities/ Deemed Universities.

In India, the Medicinal Doctor (Ayurveda) or Ayurveda Vachaspati is a three-year master’s course. In India, the MD PG course is offered in many ayurvedic Govt & Pvt medical colleges. To the MD PG course, the selection is generally done by a competitive written entrance examination AACCC.
